SALUS – Therapeutically-Informed Family Support Service
What does the service offer?
TIFSS is a specialist, trauma-informed service for children and young people who are already being supported by NHS Children and Young People’s Mental Health Services (CYPMHS) and who present with a higher level of need and risk.
How can it help?
If you are a parent, carer, or young person seeking support, we would encourage you to speak with your current CYPMHS practitioner or another involved professional. They can help explore the most appropriate options and consider whether a referral to TIFSS is suitable. This approach helps ensure that children and young people receive the most appropriate care, at the right time.
Who is it for?
To help ensure the right support is in place, referrals are made by CYPMHS professionals who are directly involved in the young person’s care and are able to provide detailed information about their needs.
How is it delivered?
Support is delivered through an intensive, person-centred approach. This means that it will depends on the child or young person’s needs, wishes, and feelings. We will support the young person to identify and work towards the goals they want to achieve.
Need support?
If you or someone you know needs support, help is here when you need it most.
