Salus – Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

What does the service offer?

Our CBT service can help children and young people who are experiencing a range of challenges, including anxiety, phobias, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD); as well as low mood and depression, challenges related to ADHD; trauma and PTSD; and through building self-esteem and resilience.

How can it help?

Children and young people will work with a dedicated Cognitive Behavioural Therapist who will take time to understand their needs, wishes, and feelings. They will produce goals at the start of their time together and then work towards these.

Who is it for?

Our CBT service is for children and young people aged between 10 and 18 and live in Kent.

How is it delivered?

Support is delivered over 12 weeks and can be face to face or online, depending on the needs of the child or young person.

Salus – Children’s Wellbeing Practitioners

What does the service offer?

Our Children’s Wellbeing Practitioners (CWPs) can offer targeted, group-based psychoeducation for children and young people who are experiencing a range of challenges and with individual needs and wishes. This might include: exam stress, transitions, relationship difficulties with peers, emotional dysregulation, and resilience.

How can it help?

Children and young people who are matched with this service will be allocated to a group which is facilitated by a dedicated Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP). They will experience a sense of mutual and shared understanding amongst peers, and will work towards goals set at the beginning of their time in the group.

Who is it for?

The service is for children and young people who are aged between 8 – 18 and live in Kent.

How is it delivered?

Support is delivered in groups for around 6 weeks.

Salus – Intensive Mentoring

What does the service offer?

Our Intensive Mentoring service offers support for children and young people who are experiencing anxiety, behavioural concerns, relationship difficulties, poor self-esteem, and/or have experienced domestic abuse.

How can it help?

Intensive Mentoring can help through the facilitation of a safe, attuned relationship with an experienced practitioner who understands their needs, wishes, and feelings.

Who is it for?

This service is for children and young people aged between 8 – 18 and who live in Kent.

How is it delivered?

Intensive Mentoring is delivered over 10 weeks and can be face to face, online, and/or in groups, depending on the needs of the child or young person.
